Format Card in Camera
It's strongly recommended to format the memory card in-camera before first use. You might see the message: "You are using an unsupported CF card and it may not work", if you don't format first. In the storage settings scroll to the bottom and select Format CFe.
Are CFexpress 4.0 Cards Supported?
The Hasselblad X2D 100C only supports the CFexpress 2.0 standard. However, CFexpress 4.0 cards can still be used because they are backwards compatible with CFexpress 2.0 devices, you just won't be able to take advantage of CFe 4.0 speeds in-camera. Where you will see an advantage is when copying files from the memory card to your computer, with a 4.0 card this can be up to twice as fast compared to a 2.0 card providing you are using a CFexpress 4.0 compatible reader.
