SanDisk PRO-CINEMA CFexpress Type A 4.0 Memory Cards

It has certainly taken a while but SanDisk has finally launched its first-ever CFexpress Type A Card.

The SanDisk PRO-CINEMA CFexpress Type A 4.0 Cards are available in 480GB or 960GB capacities and use the latest CFexpress 4.0 interface, making it twice as quick as the first generation of Type A cards

These cards are specifically aimed at Sony photographers and videographers of cameras like the Sony A1, A1II, A7R V, A7S III, A7 IV, and A9 III.

The maximum read speed is 1800MB/s, and the card has a 1650MB/s peak write rate. Minimum sustained write speed isn't advertised, but the new card is VPG200-certified, meaning it's guaranteed to sustain 200MB/s during video recording.

Key Features:

• Read speeds up to 1800MB/s and write speeds up to 1650MB/s, users can capture and offload large files with unprecedented speed—enabling faster turnaround from shoot to post-production.

• Available in capacities up to 960GB, the card supports extended shooting sessions without interruption.

• Certified VPG200 Performance: Backed by the Compact Flash Association’s VPG200 certification, it guarantees sustained performance for high-resolution and high-frame-rate recording.

• Pro-Level Durability: Engineered for real-world conditions with 7.5-meter drop protection, 150N bend resistance, and IP57 water and dust resistance.

The PRO-CINEMA CFexpress Type A 4.0 cards start at £288.99 / $249.99 for 480GB and £463.99 / $449.99 for the 960GB card.
